Surrounded by rugged coastline and stunning beaches, Sydney is one of the most beautiful places in the world. From the city to the suburbs, the harbour side beauty is full of hidden health gems, to die for coffee and the very best the health, fit and wellness industries have to offer. Here are the top things you need to add to your to do list if you’re headed Down Under.
The Well is Bondi’s newest gym and wellness hub – and it’s taking the already buzzing health scene in Sydney by storm. With a goal to change lifestyles not just bodies, this beautifully designed gym allows you to fuel up after your reformer Pilates or kickboxing class with a fresh organic meal from the connected in-house cafe.
The Sydney Dance Company is well worth a drop in if you want to break a sweat and try something a bit different. Offering everything from Zumba to hip hop all of the teachers are local professionals in their field and classes are held in gorgeous studio warehouses against the harbour. Single classes are $22.
Harrys Bondi is one of many coffee mecca’s surrounding the famous beach. This little gem in particular has a line out the door for a reason. A menu must is the ricotta hotcake washed down with a beetroot and cacao latte. Let just say, it’ll be hard to resist joining your seat neighbours practically standing on the tables to photograph their food, check out their IG @harrysbondi. If you’re city bound at brunch-o-clock, a visit to Four Ate Five is just as insta-worthy and delicious.
The Coogee Pavilion is the perfect place to kick back with an Aperol spritz and watch the surfers ride the waves until dusk. You’ll be at one with the locals here.
Chin Chin is the newest restaurant on the block in Sydney, and its flavourful Southeast Asian cuisine is causing quite the stir. A must off the menu; coconut red curry infused king salmon, cooked in a banana leaf.
Pana Chocolate is nestled in the up and coming suburb of Alexandria and is surrounded by awesome healthy eats (Bread and Circus wholefoods canteen is just next door), but for the sweet tooths amongst us, the desserts at Pana are out of this world. You may recognize this name from the beautifully packaged chocolate bars you can buy at certain health food shops… but the cafe version… is something else. Check out their Ig, you’ll be drooling in seconds: @pana_chocolate
The floor to ceiling windows at the newly opened Darling Harbour Sofitel are absolutely breathtaking. With a birds eye view of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House along with a rooftop infinity pool to enjoy the sunset in, this luxury stay is a winner. Rooms start at $299 a night.
Roar and Snoar is a sleepover like no other. This luxe glamping experience at Taronga Zoo gets you up close and personal with one of the best things about Australia – the incredible wildlife. The tents are gorgeous and have harbour views. This is truly one of those experiences you’ll never forget. Tents start at $295 a night.
